Our Mission

Our mission is to apprentice young people in life and trade, inspiring hope and purpose. Creating a safe environment for young people to work and learn alongside tradespeople from local churches.

Through Organised Kaos (OK), the trades become the medium for discipleship. We use quality hands-on training as a way to break down barriers to build relationships.

Become a mentor and use the gifts God has given you to serve the young people of our community, so that God may be praised ( 1 Peter 4). In the likeness of God, you are a gifted builder, fixer, and creator. Organized Kaos was created to establish partnerships between Christian tradespeople and young people to develop mentor-mentee relationship.

Our job as the OK Team is to create the environment that facilitates the relationships that are vital to discipleship. We do this by creating a safe physical and emotional environment for the students and mentors

Qualities of a Mentor

Mentors of Organized Kaos are all Christians and active in the church. Mentors must have five years of experience in the trades or licensed for compulsory trades. Mentors must commit to work with their students for a season at a minimum. Mentors use be trainable, meaning they are willing to learn and implement the OK way of doing things. mentors are expected to build a genuine care for their students.

The Shops

OK is currently working in two industries in Brantford: Construction and Automotive. In our shops we work with students aged 13 – 17 in a ratio of 1 mentor to 2 students, with the bulk of our core programs being afternoon and evening programs. Mentors and their 2 students come in for 3 hours a week, and they build meaningful relationships.
